On our road trip from Brooklyn, NY to Chicago, we had the pleasure of staying overnight at Louie Berrodin's B&B. Upon our arrival, Louie warmly welcomed us into his meticulously clean and exceptionally well-appointed home. There isn't a single amenity that Louie has overlooked--we have stayed in many B&Bs both in the States & Canada and none can compare! We ate dinner at an excellent nearby restaurant that Louie recommended. And, enjoyed a quite satisfying & healthy breakfast before getting back on the road the following morning. Our only regret is not to have planned to stay longer so to visit sites in the area (such as Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens)--definitely gives us a reason to return in the future to Berrodin's B&B! Thank you, Louie, for your hospitality!

Our stay with Louie at Berrodin was wonderful. The location is very quiet and located very well for exploring the greater Akron area. Louie is the most accommodating and welcoming host I've ever had while traveling. He will be sure you have access to anything you could want + information about the area galore! We hope to stay here again in the future. :)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Berrodin Bed and Breakfast near Highland Square in the Akron area. I was visiting my son who is going to Akron University. I wanted something more personal than a hotel, and the triple B was perfect! The location was convenient to good restaurants, beautiful parks, and the university. The quaint cobblestone neighborhood was quiet and relaxing. Louie is a fantastic host--very personable and attentive--and provides everything you can think you'd need during your stay and more! Inside the house, everything is meticulously cleaned. The backyard is setup for conversation and hanging out. (Next time I'll bring my swim suit for the hot tub.) But, sitting on the front porch with my coffee as the sun comes up was a great way to start my day! Highly recommended, and when I go back to the Akron area, I plan to stay again at the Berrodin Bed and Breakfast.

Berrodin’s B&B was a wonderful experience. Right at arrival, we were welcomed into a colorful, comfortable, casual environment. The room was very comfortable. Louie adds amenities that are very thoughtful like a fan in the bedroom and shampoo, etc. in the bedroom.

Louie’s place was a perfect fit for what we needed. Walking distance to good food, and the house is clean and well kept. It’s not a hotel, so if that’s what you need - be aware. Louie himself was informative and kind, and we had some fun talks ranging from local Akron lore to spirituality. Thanks Louie!

Very gracious host and very comfortable stay. Louie was a great conversationalist and was very knowledgeable about many topics and Akron itself. He gave me 2 guidebooks to help familiarize myself with the city of Akron. The room itself was spacious and very clean, and the bathroom was neat and clean as well. He offered a variety of healthy snack options along with hard boiled eggs for breakfast. I would recommend to anyone staying in this area to stay in this hotel. You won’t regret it!

Berrodin was amazing! My husband surprised me with a little night away from home to Louie’s BnB. As soon as we walked in Louie i introduced himself, showed us around the house, and captivated us with the wealth of knowledge he knew on the history of Akron and Ohio. His whole dining room is full of pamphlets for activities, dining, and adventures to do in the area. We stayed in a cozy bedroom, had the pleasure of spending some time in the hot tob, and ate some breakfast treats in the morning before we left. Louie is so kind and my husband and i felt extremely safe in his care. We will definitely be going back!

My wife and I recently stayed one night at the Berrondin Bed & Breakfast for a short getaway, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, Louie made us feel comfortable and welcomed. He is incredibly personable and thoughtful, and it really shows in how he runs the B&B. The entire place was immaculately clean—and I mean everything. The rooms, common areas, kitchen, dining room, even the driveway. The driveway was shoveled and salted, the hot tub was freshly shocked and ready for us, and he even provided some of the nicest robes to wear to and from the hot tub, which was such a nice touch. Before booking, I spoke with Louie to confirm the hot tub was available and to see if any other guests would be there. We were lucky enough to have the entire place to ourselves, which made the night even more special. The layout of the kitchen and dining room was very well thought out and added to the cozy, comfortable feel of the stay. Another highlight was how knowledgeable Louie is about Akron and its history—he clearly takes pride in the city and enjoys sharing that with his guests. Overall, the experience was relaxing, enjoyable, and exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t have asked for a better night away and will absolutely be coming back anytime we need an escape.
